Aluoette Addictions Services councilor, Steve Quinlan, will attempt to set a world record on May 4. Steve will try to set the record for the fastest time travelled on Vancouver’s SkyTrain.

Major cities such as London and New York have several record holders and challengers in this category. Steve believes that the expansion of the SkyTrain makes it worthy of such an endeavour. According to Quinlan, "it is time that Greater Vancouver joins these and other large cities around the world in having a Guinness World Record in the category of ‘fastest to visit all stations in an underground network' ".

Steve hopes to raise awareness and funds for Alouette Addictions Services Elementary School Substance Literacy Program. The Substance Literacy Program provides opportunities for students to understand the complex ways in which drugs impact the mental health, physical health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and societies. The program is 100% funded by donations. Alouette Addictions Services believes that this program will play a pivotal role in drug use prevention.
